Well, compared to Roger Federer, most tennis players are a joke, but that doesn’t mean none of them are any good! Same with bloggers – we all start at the bottom, but if you educate yourself and work hard, we can all make progress. And to continue the tennis analogy, we won’t all make the top 10, but even number 200 in the world probably makes a couple hundred thousand a year!

Just from the way you've structured your blog, I can see that you obviously know (or at least, have a pretty clear picture) of what you're doing. (Forgetting about the social traffic, chasing the search traffic.) I don’t think you are a joke. I have seen lots of SEO blogs and yours is the best I have seen so far. Your text is very easy to read and enjoyable.
I understand you being busy with the exams
I also think secondhand knowledge is often better than the first hand. It shows so much better what trouble one can run into!
