So I went through and picked out all the long tail keywords (I went with 3 or more words) that included my keyword, which have over 1000 searches a month (so like 30 a day). There were 44 such keywords, so if I can rank #1 for even 10 of these keywords alone it should send me 100 visits per day. This is the goal, ranking for a ton of low competition keywords is better than ranking well for 1 high competitive keyword. It’s easier and faster.
For everyone of the keywords you found that will be a post. Use your keywords as your post title, if you are selling an affilaite product feel free to tack on a sales word like “buy” or “for sale”. I have a lot of success writing reviews. Before buying a product it’s suprising how many people search for [product review].
Using your keywords as your title does two main things. 1 – It get’s your keyword into your URL and 2 – it gives your post internal authority for that keyword (internal anchored links).
Don’t feel the need to get too fancy with this step, it’s important but an easy one to fix (by coming back and making a new post) if you screw it up lol.

I agree with you that using the keywords will definitely help the website. Thank you for sharing.
Are you saying that quantity is more important than quality when it comes to writing a lot of articles with different post titles?
Nice tip. I always like to look at the number of competing pages for my keyword phrase (in quotes) aswell.
If you can find long-tails with 1000+ searches per month and a small number of competing pages then you’ve hit the jackpot!
I’m trying to rank for a very competitive keyword which you can guess by now
Long tail keyword selection and optimisation is excellent as long as you are targeting to sell or promote affiliate links, but if you are promoting adsense of any cpc ads for earnings then long tail dont draw too much traffic and plus the traffic is targeted so may not click much.
Yes a combination of both, initially targeting long tail keywords and once you have the serp postitions, then go in for the kill targeting heavy competition keywords
100 visits a day? But that`s nothing. If one wanna make some real money one should at least add another zero, and make it 1000 visitors a day. Uniques that is. I really dont understand why people are so afraid to give a niche with somewhat high competition a try, because it`s a lot more traffic there and a LOT more money to be made.
Nice infomation. Surely I will continue visit to your blog to read new infomation. Thanks for sharing!
Title of post or website is very important.
3days ago, I read from a SEO Blog: When posting, you should put a keyword on your post title. Ex: SEO Tips: Should put a keyword on Title post (if your keyword is SEO Tips )
I think this article makes a great point. Is it important to put keywords in the post title, while not making them to spammy. Its a fine balance that takes time to master.
nice post and well information. but sometimes we need to use long tail keyword…… as per user’s point and client’s requirement.
Thanks for the tip. I’m always looking at how to optimize my site for less competitive keywords, since I agree that ranking for a lot of them is a lot better than trying to rank for 1 competitive one.
