Step #7 – Content Generation

To make a solid WP blog site you need probally around 10 articles to get the “blog” underway. There are a lot of ways to generate content. You can write your own content, you can rewrite other content you find, or you can buy content. I personally buy all my content at CyberHub. It’s the cheepest place I’ve found (and if anyone has anything cheaper I’d LOVE to hear it. Articles spinners like “jet spinner” work well for some people but I don’t like them myself.

Keyword Density: I don’t REALLY worry about keyword density. It’s a good idea for sure to have a keyword you are targeting at least once, you can put it more just make sure it doesn’t look spammy. I personally would aim for using the keyword 3-5 times in an article.

Original Content: Google tries to beat down duplicate content, but it doesn’t do a great job by any measure. Grizz talked about using a content scraper successfuly in his post Duplicate Content is Google’s Weak Link. The one thing that is for sure is that you shouldn’t straight up copy an entire page from a site.

Writing content is one of the biggest time expenditures for a web entrapruner. Don’t waste it.

I can imagine the kind of dreck you get for that price. You’re actually better off getting one or two good articles rather than 50 junk articles that will never be read.

I understand why you have that opinion (self serving as it may be), but the truth is that there is a time and a place for quality content. If you are trying to build a base of RSS readers then sure, quality content is worth the cost. If you are trying to get SE results then any content will do really so long as it is coherent, keyword focused, and topic focused. As far as google is concerned the articles you write are as good as the ones some guy who hardly knows English in India writes.

Have you looked at a report call article speed writing. It is really good, I can now write an article in around 12mins.

This really has sped things up, I’ve tried spinning and using software to generate content and they are not as fast as this report make you.

Google cares about relevant, updated and unique content. Those are 3 important things to worry about when generating content.

There are also lots of freelancers out there who will write content for next to nothing these days. The trick is to find one with good enough English and keep feeding them work.

Just like any other newbie on this planet, I didn’t care about content and keywords. I got totally irrelevant traffic which was a total disaster. I think we should care about it.

I am surprised after reading your post. How could you value more the price than quality dear? I personally ‘hate’ Cyberhubonline, because they just sent me all craps, and after a real long time. I had their name in many places, and thought of giving them a try, but never dared to look back after that dreadful experience. I don’t know whether you will publish my comment or not (because Cyberhub is damn manipulating, as the way they basically control the article writing domain in digitalpoint forum, so I am not sure), but this is the only fact, that they are of the cheapest quality article provider in this virtual world, as far as I believe. I personally depend on Saki and found him really worthy of my money and time. He is just superb and extremely professional.

I love hearing everyones opinion on ranking and software that assists in ranking. I read you posts and this is definitly one I will follow. I love rebels!

Frankly I would go for the original generation of content. It’s more genuine and unique. People are hungry for quality content and it will show. Plus if you’re a serious blogger you need to hone your writing skills and that it encompasses such as thorough research, proper crediting and grammatical skills.

It has to be true that duplicate content is Google’s weak link. I see the same articles turning up again and again in quite a few sites that rank well in the serps. I personally stay away from dup content, and always come up with my own. I guess there isn’t enough rebel in me. Right now I’m limited to a blog post every few days. There’s never enough time. But I’m sticking to my guns and will just continue to do the best I can.

I agree with you, but writing content is a necessary evil. You can always just take an existing article or two and base a new one on it – completely rewrite it, and I mean, completely (make sure to use CopyScape that it’s truly unique). Also, don’t forget it doesn’t have to be top notch content.

After a while of doing so it becomes second nature. I’ve become so trainer I can write a pretty decent article in 20 minutes (that’s long enough).

I don’t know… don’t you think there is something disingenuous about having to buy content when a blog should really be about your own authorship? This is probably more of an issue if you’re trying to pass yourself off as an expert on a specific topic.

#14 firewire kabel on 09.01.09 at 4:07 am

I am also buy the content for my article from someone else. I am also using jet spinner and jet submitter for my article. I have a problem like I can only see emails… nothing… a search on google… nothing…

i didnt know duplicate content is google weakest link. thanks for the advice.

#16 Ricky from TV Wall Brackets on 10.12.09 at 5:05 am

This is excellent advice. Content is such a headache for most people – they know what they want to say but they don’t have the time or inclination to get it down on the page, so all advice like this is very welcome!

I don’t like article spinner too. I will try to visit Cyberhub too. Thank you for sharing this. I learn a lot from your article.

#18 bennet from english speaking course on 10.25.09 at 11:31 am

I think cyberhub do not have any quality article writers with them. If you look for quality, you have to pay the price. no good comes for free. Unique and quality content is what google is looking out for and humans too. If you consider the user perspective along with search engines, i think you can attract more visitors.

#19 bennet from english speaking course on 10.25.09 at 12:23 pm

Search engine loves fresh contents. If you go for any cheap writers who would be happy and willing to work for peanuts you will get some crap content which would be a disaster for your website. So reach out to good content writers in the market and choose the best one who is willing to work for you at the cost of market standards.

#20 Jacques from Jacques Britt Hemden on 10.30.09 at 2:30 pm

Good Article.

I get all my content from freelance writers. Most over my contacts or for some new niche sites over special content marketplaces. Works fast and really great to get new quality content!

#21 manu from Sydney Backpackers on 10.31.09 at 1:39 am

Content generation is a specific form/niche in biz-tech freelance writing. Content is generally blocks of information for websites that is used to capture search engine attention while also providing information to the reader. Content, or web content, needs to be written by someone, and website owners often turn to freelance writers to produce this content.

No doubt that SEO Website Content Generator clearly gained popularity among many Webmasters in recent years simply because it is revolutionary. The best thing about this Auto-Content technology is that you don’t have to be an expert editor for example in order to benefit from it. In simple words SEO Website Content Generator performs an auto-research on the Internet – it looks for as many sentences and paragraphs as possible that are related to specific keyword(s) that you provide.
